Ronald Flowers is a 31 year old who is always smiling and never turns down a challenge. Prior to his traumatic on the job injury that claimed his left leg above the knee and caused nerve damage to the right ankle he was an active 27 year old. Ronald has spent the last 4 years trying to regain the strength in his right leg while learning to use his artificial left leg. Over the past year, Ronald has competed in several 5k runs and was a relay member in a sprint triathlon where he rode a handcycle in extremely hilly terrain. He persevered through the relay process and now has plans to continue to walk/run longer distances and bike in triathlons. Ronald's goal is to participate in the Cooper River Bridge Run!
